Sky by SkyFirstLabs · SPECIAL OPTION, LDA
Request deletion
- Account: ask the Sky administrator in your organisation. Access ends immediately.
- Personal data: Request deletion from SkyFirstLabs
This page explains how to delete an account in the Sky by SkyFirstLabs app and on the Sky platform, together with the associated data. Both belong to SPECIAL OPTION, LDA (brand SkyFirstLabs).
1. The account belongs to your organisation
Sky is a business app, like Microsoft Teams or Slack. There is no sign-up: nobody creates an account for themselves, and the app only allows sign-in with accounts that already exist.
- The organisation subscribes to Sky, and that organisation's administrator creates the accounts.
- The same organisation removes the accounts. For that reason, account deletion is requested from the administrator and is not done inside the app.
2. Deleting your account
Ask the Sky administrator in your organisation. This is usually the person who manages IT or operations. When the administrator removes the account:
- access ends immediately: all sessions and all devices are revoked, on the web and on mobile phones;
- the agents you created are paused;
- after 30 days, the account's personal data (name, email, photo, credentials, notification tokens) is irreversibly anonymised;
- work content (chats, agents, pages) stays with the organisation, without personal identification.
If you do not know who the administrator is, or cannot reach them, write to us (section 3). We will contact your organisation.
3. Asking SkyFirstLabs to delete your personal data
You can ask us directly to delete the personal data we process as controller: the account, the security logs and the notification tokens.
- Write to info@skyfirstlabs.com from your Sky account email address.
- State your organisation and what you want deleted.
- We acknowledge receipt within 5 working days and complete the request within 30 days.
Content created inside Sky (chats, agents, documents) belongs to your organisation, which is the controller of that data. For that content, we forward the request to the organisation, help it comply, and let you know that we have done so.
4. Deleting an entire organisation
Only the customer organisation can request this, through its administrator or the person who signed the contract. At the end of the contract, or at the customer's request, we delete the organisation's workspace and all its accounts and content, in accordance with the Data Processing Agreement. This operation is permanent.
5. What is kept, and why
| Data | Period | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Database backups | Up to 7 days | Disaster recovery. They are not restored to the service except in that case |
| Application logs | 90 days | Operation, abuse prevention and fault investigation |
| Audit logs of actions and of queries (including the IP address) | 12 months | Security and evidence of access |
| Infrastructure audit log | 365 days | Security. Records administrative actions, not content |
| Billing | Period required by Portuguese tax law | Legal obligation. Relates to the organisation, not to individual use |
6. Timescales
- Removal by the administrator: access cut off immediately; account personal data irreversibly anonymised after 30 days.
- Requests sent to us: response within 5 working days, completion within 30 days (Article 12(3) GDPR).
- Backups: overwritten within the following 7 days.
7. Other rights
You can also request access, rectification, restriction or portability, and object to processing. See the Privacy Policy. You can also lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority.
